This position will be a part of a new start-up Joint Venture between LM Manufacturing and Magna Seating.  The Seating JIT Assembly plant is located in the Detroit, MichiganMagna is an innovative leader in the development and manufacturing of high quality complete seating systems. Role Summary

LM Manufacturing is a leading company in the manufacturing industry, specializing in the production of high-quality products. LM Manufacturing is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations, focusing on cost accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. This position will involve data analysis, account reconciliation, and participation in the month-end close process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost Analysis: Compare pricing and costs recorded in SAP, identifying variances and providing insights for improvement. Ensuring all the BOMs in SAP have proper cost and price assigned to them and reconciles to customer purchase orders.
  • Accounts Payable Reconciliation: Reconcile the accounts payable subledger with supplier statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Work closely with AP Clerk to resolve systemic issues regarding accounts payable.
  • Payroll Analysis: Conduct detailed analyses of payroll data to identify variances and trends, reporting findings to management. Reconcile payroll time keeping system to bank statement to ensure accuracy in payroll process.
  • Month-End Close Process: Assist in the month-end close by preparing journal entries, conducting account reconciliations, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting: Execute daily and ad-hoc financial tasks, providing analytical support to enhance decision-making processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team and other departments to gather necessary data and facilitate smooth financial operations

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
