Role Summary

This position supports Magna’s senior leadership in developing and communicating the strategy for the Company. 

Key Responsibilities

•    Lead preparation of Magna’s overall corporate strategy and related analysis, working closely with Magna Groups and Corporate Functions
•    Lead analysis and support engagement with new entrants, both autonomous and electrified
•    Lead analysis on other strategic topics, including assessing attractiveness of business lines or markets (new or existing)
•    Responsible for obtaining and evaluating information about industry, market and product trends, competitive threats and possible business opportunities
•    Support decision making process regarding new markets and products as well as exiting or divesting existing products 
•    Guides and supports discussions and contributes insight derived from knowledge and analysis of the industry and competitors
•    Makes recommendations and tests ideas that are put forward by other members of the team. 
•    Drafts strategy papers and presentations to be made to the board or other key stakeholders in the company
•    Act as an internal consultant and supports special projects
 

Key Qualifications/Requirements

•    8 -10 years of work experience, including:
•    3-5 years’ experience at a top tier strategy consulting firm or in a relevant business strategy role
•    Automotive experience preferred  
•    Experience as engineer preferred 
•    Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related field
•    Master’s Degree from a top business school
•    Some supervisory experience preferred
