Group Description

Vehtek Systems (a division of Magna International) is located in Bowling Green, Ohio. Vehtek is a Class A automotive stamping and assembly facility manufacturing automotive body system components for GM, Ford, FCA, Honda and other aftermarket customers. We operate a 500,000 square foot facility with approximately 1,000 employees. About the Role

Electrical Controls Engineers will be responsible for all plant machine control systems and documentation, and for working with Engineering on new machine controls and standards.

Your Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

Updating, modifying, and continuously improving existing controls systems including robotic programs, ladder logic programs, relay logic, electrical distribution, motor controls, operator interface, hydraulics, and pneumatics distribution and control.

Coordinating with engineering and maintenance on existing machine control modifications to robotic, electrical, electronic hydraulic, pneumatic and vision systems. 

Who we are looking for

Your preferred qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, i.e. Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, etc. or equivalent experience and education. 

Electrical controls engineering background desired.

Complete knowledge of and ability to design and use relay logic, ladder logic, pneumatic logic and hydraulic logic.

Complete knowledge of an ability to use RS232, RS422, HD485, Ethernet, DH+, Device Net, Control Net and remote I/O communications protocol.

Understanding of and ability to use java C+, C++ and Visual Basic

Complete understanding and ability to use Excel, Word, Access, Acad 2000 or Acad 2000LT, and all related computer software for all machine programming, backup and monitoring.

Experience with Allen Bradey Processors, Motoman Robots, and Fanuc Robots a plus.
