About the Role

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Under the direction of the IT manager, the senior ERP system analyst will be responsible for supporting the implementation and use of CMS system. The analyst will be instrumental in helping to solve operational problems and develop solutions to new business requirements. To fulfill this requirement, the analyst will need to be able to apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve systems issues. It will be important that the person who takes on this role keeps open communications of the IT team to support a good team mentality.

Your Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
Act as the subject matter expert for CMS. This support would include the production manager system which is used for shop floor reporting. 
Provide process leadership in the areas of:
Shop floor reporting, inventory management and scrap
Standard cost, bill of materials, routings, and methods
Scheduling and MRP
Financial systems- GL, AP, AR, FA
Purchasing systems, vendor returns
Shipping & EDI, customer returns
Trial and prove out any new proposed ideas for system utilization.
Collaborate with developers, programmers and designers in conceptualizing and developing system enhancements to either CMS or the production manager.
Develop and run simple queries as part of the data analysis responsibility.
Assist end users in building their own custom reports using the iSeries reporting tools. 
Work with end users in training them to properly use CMS system. 
Support the production floor with issues related to either system. 
Implement backup procedures for supporting production during system outages. 
Determine operational objectives by studying business functions and proposing design modifications. 
Coordinate the integration of systems external to CMS.
Develop and support labeling changes with label format design modifications.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to interact well with others in a selfless manner. Need to be able to work well in a group without being domineering or condescending.
Should be flexible to adapt to new technologies. 
Needs to have the ability to speak up and voice one’s opinion in a constructive manner. 
Must be an excellent self-motivator and be able to work well under minimal direct oversight. 
Must have good oral and written communication skills.
Needs to be able to work under time constraints with a quick response under pressures, which are sometimes dictated by the production floor.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The senior ERP analyst works within a general office environment with frequent exposure to a factory environment. Some of the physical demands of this position include sitting for prolonged periods of time, walking up and down staircases, occasional lifting, and occasional stooping and bending.. 

EDUCATION:  
College or university degree. Degree should be in computer science or information systems. 
In lieu of the degree being in the required field, a proven track record of productivity in this field with real world work experience supporting other ERP systems will be considered. 

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Proven experience in a similar support role. This will not be an entry level position. 
Experience working with CMS is a plus.
Experience with MES systems 
Experience working within the automotive industry. 
Background working with database query tools.
