About the Role
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for optimizing inventory levels, ensuring timely procurement of materials, and supporting efficient production operations.
Your Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Purchased Parts Planning:
Develop and implement strategies for effective purchased parts planning to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information on production requirements and forecasted demand.
Supplier Releasing and Follow Up:
Release purchase orders/EDI releases to suppliers based on Material Requirements (MRP) recommendations.
Communicate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues related to shipments or quality concerns.
Identify potential risks in the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate disruptions.
Develop contingency plans for critical materials to ensure continuity of production.
Supplier Performance (QPF):
Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers, focusing on quality, delivery, and cost.
Regularly evaluate supplier performance through QPF metrics and work to implement improvement plans with suppliers as needed.
Production Schedule:
Develop and manage production schedules in alignment with demand forecasts and inventory targets.
Work collaboratively with the team to implement pull system and production leveling.
Coordinate with production teams to optimize scheduling and ensure efficient resource utilization.
Production Follow Up:
Monitor and track production progress against established schedules.
Work with production team to ensure shift by shift production reconciliation is performed to verify and ensure the accuracy of production data entered in the ERP system.
Collaborate with internal teams to address any deviations from the production plan and implement corrective actions.
Communicate any potential delays or issues related to materials that may impact production.
CPMP (Cosma Program Management Process):
Support in achieving the timely completion of CPMP/ARAS system deliverables by collaborating with the materials and logistics team.
Mafact
Assist the MP&L cross-functional team to develop and implement the following Mafact elements:
4.01 / 4.01 – Supplier Sourcing and Supplier Monitoring
4.03 – Pull System
4.06 – Inventory Management
SAFETY PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Accepts personal responsibility to plan and conduct their work safely in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, applicable standards, and guidelines as well as company policies and procedures.

Your preferred qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or a related field.
Proven experience in Automotive purchased parts planning, supplier releasing, supplier performance evaluation, production scheduling, and production follow-up.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
Proficient in using supply chain management software and tools.
Ability to uphold confidentiality.
Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
