Role Summary
This position is for a new Greenfield Magna facility in Lawrenceburg, TN. Under the direction of the general manager, the quality manager manages the company’s quality department and quality system to ensure only quality products are shipped to customers.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for managing salaried engineers, quality technicians, and all quality support personnel.
Responsible for coordination and preparation of Control Plans, and inspection instructions/check sheets as required.
Follows and supports Magna Structures Tennessee LLC. and Magna’s operating principles, including:

Safety First - Obey the plant’s safety rules and procedures by wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and immediately addressing all safety concerns. Promotes an environment where zero injuries are the expected standard.

Supports efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Survey.
Manage/Supervise all personnel and aspects of the Quality Department
Develop a Quality Assurance/Control program, to comply with all customer requirements.
Prepare and update Quality system procedures/policies as required.
Develop/approve gauging for new programs or gage revisions to existing programs.
Customer and/or supplier liaison for quality problems/concerns.
Assist with sample submissions.
Develop/coordinate Customer quality systems within this company.
Encourage development and implementation of continuous improvement within the company.
Communicates customer requirements to necessary personnel.
Serve as “Management Representative” as required by AIAG TS16949.
Performs other duties as required.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
Ability to effectively and appropriately present information and respond to questions from various groups.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret internal procedures, documents and processes, internal and customer requirements, flow diagrams, and business correspondences.
Ability to develop processes for effective operation.
Ability to read blueprints.
Must have good organizational and managerial skills to attend to multiple tasks simultaneously.
Some of the physical demands of this position include sitting for prolonged periods of time, walking up and down staircases, occasional lifting, and occasional stooping and bending. Ability to be self-directed.
Proficient in computer skills, mainly Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Visio, and Power Point.
High school diploma or GED
Associate or bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
Must have experience within the automotive industry.
