Deco Automotive, located in Rexdale and Brampton, Ontario is an automotive parts manufacturing facility that produces structural automotive components for Original Equipment Manufacturers (“OEM”) including BMW, Chrysler, Ford, General Motors and Toyota/Lexus. Deco Automotives’ capabilities include; Stamping, Hydroforming, Laser, CNC Machining, E Coating, Steel and Aluminum Assembly. We are certified in ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001.

 

 

Role Summary

In this role, the Commercial Coordinator assumes the responsibility of a project manager for all things commercial. The Sales & Financial Analyst will take full ownership of all aspects of the commercial process from quoting / costing to invoicing, interacting with suppliers, internal departments, and customers.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

•    Post-secondary education in Engineering
•    3-5 years of relevant experience in costing, quoting and negotiating in related industry  
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Strong computer proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), primarily Microsoft Excel
•    Excellent math and analytical skills
•    Ability to be self-reliant and proactive
•    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities

•    Comprehend a customer's request for quotations and organize a team to respond appropriately. 
•    Take ownership for all aspects of new quotes/estimates 

•    Track all related customer purchase orders and requests for subject customer.

•    Respond to customer's engineering changes or new business requests by conceptualizing with CFT a technical solution, analyze costing impacts, and develop a business case for management review.

•    Prepare quotations in customer format and present in a clear and concise method.

•    Develops quote timeline, deliverables, and organizes the internal team to meet deliverables on time  
•    Review manufacturing processes with the Engineering team to ensure that all aspects of cost are understood and accurately captured
•    Interface with supply base to ensure clear understanding of process and costs
•    Review all incoming data from internal departments for accuracy and validity
•    Develop and analyze financial models to determine the profitability of new and existing products/programs
•    Develop strategic approach to customer management to ensure clear communication, negotiate commercial position, and maintain strong working relationship
•    Manage capital budgets for new projects
•    Interface with account managers to drive open issues to resolution
•    Work within the guidelines of the Deco Employee Handbook.
•    Other duties as may be required.
