Role Summary

 

The responsibility of the "Architect - Software" on Vehicle Level is to define the overall strategy for the SW-Architectures in the vehicle as well as the connection to the cloud and other connected devices. 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Defines the overall SW-architectural design incl. the Strategy 
  • Defines the overall base SW-architectural Strategy - RTOS and POSIX based SW 
  • Defines the overall functional SW-architectural Strategy 
  • Addresses overall SW Cyber Security Architectural Aspects 
  • Addresses overall SW Functional Safety Architectural Aspects 
  • Evaluate alternative software architectures 
  • Allocate High Level Software requirements 
  • Define interfaces of software elements 
  • Describe dynamic behavior 
  • Define resource consumption objectives 
  • Ensure consistency 
  • Communicate agreed software architectural design 
  • Defines the overall SW Integration Strategies corresponding to the defined Architetcures 
  • Cross functional alignment with other Domains 

Key Qualifications/Requirements

 

  • Master’s degree in Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent 
  • 10+ years’ relevant experience regarding the Key Responsibilities (listed above) for automotive software development projects (mandatory) 
  • Classic Autosar SW-Architectures 
  • Adaptiv Autosar SW-Architectures 
  • Impact of OTA; Connectivities; … 
  • RTOS Operating Systems 
  • Posix Operating Systems 
  • Functional Safety incl. Impact on Components 
  • Cyber Security incl. Impact on Components 
  • SW Maturity Model - SPICE 
  • Excellent expertise in Automotive SW engineering process 
  • Understanding of automotive communication protocols 
  • understanding of automotive industry standards 

Special Knowledge/Skills

 

  • Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)  
  • Excellent Professional Communication skills (written and verbal) 
  • Strong spoken and written English language skills 
  • Teamwork and social skills 
  • High internal and external service orientation 
  • Excellent creativity, initiative, diligence and accuracy  
  • Willingness and ability to acquire new skills
