Job Introduction

As part of Magna’s HR Systems Team, you will maintain, service and support Magna’s Global HR system applications and will be accountable for providing daily user support, enhanced system functionality and improved user experience.

Major Responsibilities
  • Liaise with global and regional system administrators and the Group Support Contacts to ensure ongoing continuous improvement of system effectiveness and the timely resolution of problems
  • Provide technical system support to different internal clients, including trouble shooting and finding root cause
  • Provide functional system support for Magna’s HR Systems, including how to’s and training
  • Participate in regular online Meetings
  • Develop training content and end user training material
  • Translate system related materials into German, and assist with coordination of translations to other languages
  • Track, monitor and follow-up on support activities daily and escalate issues as needed
  • Manage ticket queue and prioritize work based on impact analysis
  • Provide weekly updates on support tasks, tickets/system issues and initiatives
  • Maintain user access to the system
  • Work closely with the legal department regarding GDPR compliant system configuration
  • Perform system configuration changes
  • Test system configuration, fixes and functionality
  • Work with the Talent Attraction team to coordinate with the job board external vendors regarding technical integrations and job board utilization
  • Assist global and regional system administrators with global reporting and analysis, including determining reporting requirements and consolidation of data from different sources
  • Coordinate, test, implement, and document new system functionality
  • Provide recommendations to business users in the effective use of applications, and identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes
  • Audit system data, notifying responsible persons of discrepancies and/or errors to ensure data integrity
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops as required
Knowledge and Work Experience
  • 3 to 5 years of work related experience
  • Knowledge of HR systems and processes
  • Training and first-line support experience
  • Experience in project coordination and project management
Skills and Competencies
  • Experience with systems monitoring, job scheduling, system configuration, system refreshes, system authorizations and permissions
  • Experience with HR system applications (Recruiting, Learning, Performance & Succession) is strongly preferred – Success Factors experience is an asset
  • Fluent in English (written and oral)
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office/Lotus Notes)
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking ability
