Role Summary

The Business Relationship Management (“BRM”) function has the mandate to establish a close relationship between Global IT and the Group and the Functions that they represent, and to increase the value realized by the business from IT assets, investments, and capabilities. As such, the Regional Manager, BRM needs to have significant understanding of and knowledge in subject matters pertaining to both IT and the various Magna Corporate Functions in the applicable regions to identify needs and envisage business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute a relationship management strategy for the various Magna Corporate Functions in the applicable regions.
  • Work collaboratively with the leaders and key team members of the various Magna Corporate Functions in the applicable regions to support them through technology planning and budgeting by providing strategic advice and direction regarding technology opportunities that will align with and enable the business unit’s strategies.
  • Manage and influence demand for IT services, aligning the various Magna Corporate Functions demand for IT projects and services with the IT portfolio, and ensuring prioritization based on Magna’s priorities and strategy.
  • Liaise on Corporate-related technology programs or projects delivered by both Global IT and third-party IT providers, and report back to the Global BRM, Magna Corporate as well as other stakeholders on the status.
  • Advocate for the various Magna Corporate Functions in the applicable regions, acting quickly to manage urgent issues and championing them until resolution, escalating within Global IT, when required.
  • Along with the Global BRM, Magna Corporate, act as the voice of the various Magna Corporate Functions to Global IT.
  • The Regional Manager, BRM is the liaison between Global IT and the various Magna Corporate Functions within the applicable regions, and a trusted advisor to the leaders of those Functions.
  • The Regional Manager, BRM will also drive Global IT’s strategic priorities to the Corporate Functions and ensure that any standards set by Global IT are adhered to by the Corporate Functions in the specified regions.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the organization’s core business processes and operations, along with the strategic use of technology to grow a business.
  • Demonstrated portfolio management skills, including planning, budgeting, and controlling processes, and valuing IT investments. 
  • Understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts.
  • Ability to understand and communicate/present detailed and advanced business solutions. 
  • Ability to communicate up and down the management chain, providing the appropriate level of detail and focus on the right information.

Knowledge and Education

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, finance, or information systems and a minimum 5 years of related managerial work experience.

Skills and Competencies

  • Able to exercise independent judgement and take action on it.
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent English language skills (written and oral).
  • German language skills is of advantage.
  • Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail. 
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Able to persuade / influence stakeholders to drive optimization and standards.

Work Environment

Regular overnight travel around 25% of the time.

Additional Information

The annual remuneration package for this position is a minimum of EUR 90.000,- with corresponding qualification. We offer attractive benefits (e.g. employee profit participation program) and a salary which is in line with market conditions depending on your skills and experience.
