Role Summary

  • Management of the purchasing team
  • Organization and execution of the operational purchasing proces

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation of requisitions in the SAP system
  • Obtaining supplier quotations including price and cost monitoring
  • Execution of offer and condition comparisons
  • Converting requisitions into purchase orders in the SAP system
  • Supporting Strategic Purchasing in requirements and schedule planning as well as in supplier selection
  • Preparation of documents for contract negotiations (price developments, conditions, terms of delivery)
  • Processing of complaints and reclamations
  • Creating purchasing-relevant evaluations with MS Excel
  • Carrying out market researchEnsuring the entire purchasing process especially for non-strategic purchases
  • Relief of the business through the administrative handling of the purchasing process
  • Managing tail spend to fetch the potential for Magna Global IT here as well

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Professional experience in operational purchasing
  • Good knowledge of MS-Office and SAP MM
  • Solid German language skills (written and spoken)
  • Solid English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Solution-oriented and accurate way of working and team player
  • Strong communication skills, a confident manner and assertiveness round off the profile

Knowledge and Education

  • Completed commercial training, e.g. industrial clerk, office clerk or a degree in business administration or a comparable qualification

Work Experience

  • 3-5 years professional experience in operational purchasing
  • Initial Management experience
