IT – Help Desk Technician

Role Summary

 The Help Desk Technician is responsible for being a point of contact for end user information technology needs. This position Responsible to answer the IT Helpdesk line, provide support, and training as necessary to Drive’s associates in any IT related function.  The Help desk technician is also responsible for tracking and prioritizing help desk calls

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop/recommend process and methodologies to ensure quality deliverables that meet business needs.
  • Maintain guidelines, training materials and documentation for Desktop Operating Systems and Office Applications.
  • IT help desk end user support.
  • Configure and support Microsoft based computer equipment.
  • Configure and support networked printers and copiers.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
  • Provide feedback to level 2 and level 3 support designees.
  • Supports IT department and Drive Service Level Agreement.
  • Responsible to track, prioritize, escalate all IT department help desk calls.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Technical degree or 5+ years of related experience or equivalent years of experience and certified training or education. 

Additional Information

Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Responsible to track and maintain IT support contracts with service providers.
  • Responsible to escalate issues affecting the business continuity as necessary to any service provider and IT Supervisor.
  • Keep an accurate log of all changes.
  • Support the day-to-day business requirements.
  • Comply with Drive’s IT Guidelines and Procedures, Corporate, and Government Regulations.
