Role Summary

The Product Engineer brings products from customer concept/design to full production status.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering degree or a related field required
- Excellent understanding of tooling, equipment and fixturing construction an asset
- Must have strong process knowledge and aptitude
- Individual must be a self-starter willing to take on new challenges in a Tier 1 production environment
- Customer interface experience is an asset
- Ability to manipulate and modify 3D models (Siemens NX preferred)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (English - spoken and written)
- Excellent organization, problem solving and decision making skills.
- Negotiation skills with the ability to handle stressful situations professionally
- Willingness and availability to travel, must have valid passport
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Assist to bring product from customer concept/design to full production status
- Manage and support the Polycon PDP Process
- Provide input to Program Manager on product direction and design
- Provide support to all production areas to achieve successful industrialization
- Manage and control the cost analysis, VA/VE and continuous improvement actions
- Become the Lead Program Engineer following the initial program launch
- Prepare and submit all elements of production approval (PPAP) to customer
