Role Summary

Under the direction of the Materials Manager, manages daily the assigned supplier deck including maintaining record integrity, ship to schedule performance, logistics routing and tracking, packaging, and issue root cause and resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executes daily cycle count activity to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Maintains all production BOM’s and supplier scheduling parameters in SAP.
  • Analyzes customer schedule for mix/volume fluctuation and communicates results to the team.
  • Ensures delivery of supplied parts on-time in the right quantity and approved packaging.
  • Creates shipping schedules for logistic carriers.
  • Serves as the primary contact responsible for managing supplier delivery issues twenty-four (24) hours per day.
  • Meets the department’s monthly targets for inventory, freight, etc. as defined.
  • Displays a positive attitude towards safety, works safely and follows all the Company's safety policies and procedures.
  • Reports all unsafe and unhealthy conditions or acts to management immediately.
  • Reports injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses and property damage immediately to your supervisor.
  • Complies with all Health, Safety and Environmental standards in accordance with the Magna Employee Charter, the Occupational Health & Safety Act and the Michigan Occupational Health & Safety Act.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of materials experience in a tier-one automotive manufacturing facility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detailed oriented
  • Excellent problem resolution skills
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MRP

Additional Information

Work performed in an office and manufacturing plant environments.  Normal mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.  Frequently exposed to varying temperature within plant depending upon external weather condition.  Frequently walks, stands, grips/grasps, bends/stoops, crouches; and lifts and carries up to thirty (30) lbs. within the manufacturing plant environment.
