Role Summary

Highly skilled Engineer to work alongside product management, sales teams, and marketing teams, both internally and externally. Ability to adapt to an environment that is change-driven and innovating new concepts daily. Ability to transform ideas into products efficiently. Holds the skills to produce technology that will keep us on the forefront of lighting innovation for the automotive and general mobility Market. Ability to apply depth area technical expertise and learn other technical skills to help accelerate bringing lighting products to market.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Optical Engineering, Applied Mathematics or Engineering Physics
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the LED Lighting, Engineering Design or Optics Industry
  • Experience with non-imaging illumination design including edge ray and flow-line methods, simulated annealing and differential evolution optimization techniques
  • Experience with utilizing optical simulation software, Lucidshape, Lighttools, SPEOS, Zemax, or Tracepro
  • Experience utilizing 3D CAD software, Catia, Creo, Rhino, or Solidworks
  • GPU Accelerated Raytracing experience
  • Software experience: VR 360deg rendering, Java, C++, C#, Python, Matlab, Julia
  • Ability to produce reference materials and to transform customer concepts and sketches into product prototypes quickly
  • Experience building lit mock-ups, testing optical assembly prototypes
  • Opto-mechanical design support and GD&T analysis
  • 3D Metrology on free-form refractors and reflectors
  • Experience using a spectrophotometer, luminance camera, goniophotometer, white light microscope
