Role Summary

Coordinates shipping and receiving activities for the manufacturing plant under the general supervision of the Materials Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for shipping and receiving inspection and accuracy of all loads ensuring 100% checks for correct revision levels when receiving truck loads
  • Monitoring inventory levels of raw components and Dock management, inventory discrepancy investigations, adheres to first in, first out (FIFO) protocol.
  • Ship and receive all incoming shipments by confirming materials quantities, part numbers, and revision levels, maintains receiving log for each shift and completes RDR reports and complete GR in SAP.
  • Coordinate all yard activities, including direction to yard switching Team, yard trailer checks and trailer jack checks.
  • Escalate all late or missing deliveries.
  • Interface with Delivery Drivers to receive paperwork and provide direction for unloading or trailer parking
  • Report non-conformances during daily shifts and assist in problem solving to determine root cause, permanent corrective action and containment activities. 
  • Isolate non-conforming material, identify product quality issues and report to supervisor or management any business-related issues within the plant.
  • Assisting in expedites, delivery issues, part labeling, identifications.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Powered Industrial Truck Permit (requires a passing score on the Powered Industrial Truck training tests administered by Magna Seating Detroit)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing facility.
