JOB SUMMARY:

Analyzes and prepares financial statements and reports such as income and inventory statements, balance sheets, and statements of financial position.  Performs advanced professional, independent, and objective financial and business analyses of fixed capital and other investment proposals and other special financial studies.  Reports to Plant Controller, and supports finance function in various planning, reporting, and analytical capacities.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Participates in business planning and reporting activities with the goal of improving profitability and cash flow.
  • Supports manufacturing thru providing accurate and meaningful operations reports.
  • Provides support and testing of the plants’ Sarbanes Oxley reporting requirements.
  • Performs bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and various standard monthly reports.
  • Assists with analysis of profit and loss income statements and prepares reports on findings to make recommendations to management.
  • Supports Accounts Receivable via cash application, customer portal understanding, data extraction and reconciliations.
  • Assist with preparation of forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance and other areas of business.
  • Work on special projects as required by management. 
  • Performs all work in compliance with Engineered Glass Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures as well as all federal, State and local laws; promptly reports any hazardous condition or workplace injury to immediate supervisor or EHS designates.
  • Assists with tracking compliance with state grant activities; prepares detailed analysis of overtime reports; maintains reports on Continuous Improvement activities in the PowerBI system; assists with system implementations impacting finance & operations.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS


Analyst I

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent experience), with 0-2 years of experience in an appropriate financial environment
  • Demonstrated strong initiative in confronting and resolving problems.
  • Effective in written and verbal communications, proven skills in interacting with others.
  • Possess analytical skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in use of computers, including spreadsheets and graphics.

Analyst II

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent experience), three to five years experience in an appropriate financial environment.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to aggressively interact and influence all segments of the organization.
  • Proficient knowledge in manufacturing systems, competent in most phases of data base management and information reporting.

Analyst III

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent experience), six to eight years experience in an appropriate financial environment.
  • Exercises independent judgment and discretion utilizing broad knowledge of accounting and financial analysis techniques.
  • Experience in general supervision and project management.
  • Possess or working toward a CPA, CMA, or MBA.
