Role Summary

This position provides the accounting and financial analysis support for the Magna Mirrors organization consisting of five manufacturing sites (divisions) and one engineering center. Performs various analytical and reporting activities with focus on driving process improvement necessary for the success of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with gathering, consolidation and analysis of weekly financial forecast.
  • Assist with month-end reporting activities.
  • Consolidation and analysis of quarterly forecasting packages as well as the annual 7-year business plan requirements.
  • Review and audit divisional balance sheets for proper reconciliation and support. Create and implement templates for the divisions to improve working capital and other key metrics.
  • Work with all the divisions to ensure corporate or group requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Perform post-approval capital review/audit to ensure savings are realized.
  • Support in overhead rate updates for the divisions.
  • Backup for various processes such as Benefits analysis, ACH Bank changes, sales database management administration, data entry & verification, Government Reporting & Survey information requests.
  • Support all manufacturing divisions reporting to Mirrors North America, including travel to the sites as needed.
  • Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the fundamental doctrines, theories, principles, and terminology of accounting and finance.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and educate individuals and teams, and influence decisions.
  • Ability to respect and maintain the confidential nature of the data processed.
  • Ability to work and prioritize tasks with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrated high degree of analytical and evaluation skills.

Additional Information

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting plus 2-4 years’ experience in related field.
  • Completion of the CPA and/or CMA preferred.
  • Experience with Baan, Hyperion and/or database administration a definite plus.
  • Proficient in use of computer software programs, including Microsoft Office suite and ERP systems.
    • Must have ability to develop, maintain and manipulate complex spreadsheets and formulas.
  • Strong initiative; sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills.
  • Solid problem-solving skills
