Your Responsibilities
In this interesting role as department head for core software development you lead a team of highly skilled software developers and cross functional platform development coordinators in the area of powertrain development for conventional and eDrive vehicles. You are responsible for the core software department coordination and its further build up, exploring and establishing new working methodologies, interfacing other departments according to our processes and designing the future software platforms for MAGNA powertrain in collaboration with our world wide tech centers.
Together with your team you are part of a dynamic and fast changing area of our organization that will give you the opportunity to actively shape the future of your department to better face the upcoming challenges and demands.
Your main tasks are:
- Technical and disciplinary leadership of 15 - 20 people and continuous improvement of the team
- Ensure software development according to several automotive standards (ASPICE, ISO26262 and ISO21434)
- Coordination of core & platform software products and functions for various powertrain (conventional and eDrive) applications
- Proactive software development process development & improvement
- Responsible for resource planning
- Cost center planning, invest planning, and controlling
- Intensive cooperation with other departments and organizational units across sites
- Collaboration with MAGNA tech centers world wide
- Providing quotes and plausibility checks with other departments and customers
- Responsible for the further development of agile working methods
Your Qualification
- Academic degree in computer science, electrical engineering / electronics, automation technology, industrial electronics or similar
- Relevant professional experience of software development in an automotive environment according to the automotive processes (ASPICE), safety-relevant software (ISO26262) up to ASIL-D and/or cyber security topics (ISO21434)
- Professional experience in leading software projects within the automotive area directly or indirectly
- Professional experience in model based and C based software development
- Experience with agile methods and CI/CD
- Experience in leading and developing teams
- Willingness and ability to drive change
- Communicative personality with experience in dealing with distributed teams, suppliers and internal and external customers
- Ability to work in a complex matrix organization
- Analytical mindset and structured way of working
- Very good knowledge of German and/or English

Salary:
For this function, we offer an attractive compensation package that matches your individual experience and qualifications. The yearly gross salary is starting at € 75.000,-. Depending on the specific work experience a significant overpayment is applicable.
