About the Role

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facilities Technician is responsible for the coordination and assignment of all activities related to facility operations and ensuring that all timing schedules and trades' regulations are adhered to. The Facilities Technician supports Leadership and Facility personnel by acting as liaison in matters regarding policy application, employee relations, and continuous improvement for processes and productivity.

Your Responsibilities

  • Maintain facility equipment including, compressors, chillers, HVAC units, exhaust & supply fans
  • Conducts daily communication meetings with facilities manager
  • Ensures preventative maintenance with maintenance technical group and production planning
  • Orders materials required for repair, modification, installation, and maintenance of equipment. Abides by MSC’s Purchasing Policy
  • Participates in new projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Your preferred qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Certified HVAC Specialist – Preferably with Trane experience
  • Experience in and with commercial plumbing and commercial electrical systems preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in automotive manufacturing.
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced environment and with a variable workload
  • Strong organizational, time management, planning, written, computer and verbal communication skills
  • Working at heights a must
