Role Summary

This position involves assisting in the administering of human resources policies, programs and practices: including labor relations, planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating and directing. Duties include assisting in the managing of company policies and procedures regarding all personnel related issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain all training hourly and salary
  • Manage all areas of Workers Compensation
  • Maintain knowledge of workers compensation trends and advise HR Manager of status
  • Responsible for the company’s compliance with Federal and State legislation pertaining to all personnel matters
  • Communicate changes in company personnel policies and procedures and ensure proper compliance is followed
  • Oversee and monitor all hourly personnel files, terminations and other sensitive issues
  • Ensure accurate data entry into ADP and PeopleSoft systems
  • Ensure thorough onboarding/orientation of new hires
  • Advise and counsel employees on job related matters and as circumstances warrant
  • Conduct investigations in regards to employee complaints and/or discipline
  • Provide referral and counseling on options of the Employee Assistance Program
  • Administers and ensures compliance with the Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety and Material Management System requirements as outlined in the policy manuals
  • Ensure that all areas of the Intier Charter are implemented and maintained
  • Assist HR Manager in coordinating of Safety, HR, and EOS survey
  • Maintain Key Performance Issues
  • Assist in overseeing/administering HR systems. (IAFT compliant)
  • Other duties assigned by the HR Manager
Key Qualifications/Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years Human Resources experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues
  • Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems and issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations or government law
  • Ability to develop long-term plans and programs to evaluate work accomplishments
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management staff, employees, and corporate personnel
  • Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form
