Mission of the Position

 

The Specialist, Tool Management, DS will be responsible for administration of the PTC Integrity system. The administrator will be responsible for the implementation and roll-out of changes to the tool configuration and to the data model of the PTC system. In alignment with the process owner, reports with Key-performance Indicators are established in PowerBI. As part of the tool team, interfaces to other IT systems are implemented. Furthermore, tool trainings and tool support are offered to the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Maintenance and implementation of changes to the data model of the PTC Integrity System. 
  • Align change requests to the data model with key-users.
  • Development of extensions to the Integrity client (Java API, Python scripts).
  • Maintain the technical documentation of the system.
  • Provide tool trainings and tool support to the engineering team.
  • Implementation of Key-performance Indicators for customer application projects in PowerBI based on definitions and input of the process teams.
  • Development of interfaces to other IT systems.

Requirements and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field required. 
  • Working knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management software (ALM) or similar required (PTC Integrity preferred)
  • Experience in software development in Java or Python required
  • Experience with SQL and PowerBI preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as teamwork skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. 
  • Minimum of 3 (five) years related work experience. 
  • Demonstrated organizational and analytical skill with the ability to work within deadlines but also be adaptable to change. 
  • Experience working with/reporting out to senior management strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with different groups and facilitating a team atmosphere.
     

Work Environment

 

up to 5% travel required. 

 

While working in this environment, the employee will be exposed to machinery, moving equipment and material, moderate noise, airborne particles, fumes, and various levels of temperature created by manufacturing processes.
