Role Summary

To set-up, serve and maintain manufacturing equipment and general plant installations.  The Maintenance Associate technician is responsible for maintaining equipment to support production according to a preventative maintenance program and keeping accurate maintenance records while constantly striving in maintaining a goal of zero downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and set up new equipment
  • Assist manufacturing in prototype assembly and assembly line trial runs
  • Repair, troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to support production
  • Make minor machine modifications
  • Install electrical services
  • Perform building maintenance, as required
  • Perform plumbing and lighting repairs as needed
  • Set-up and maintain predictive and preventive maintenance program and keep track of all maintenance activities
  • Participate in cross functional team meetings to perform problem solving activities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management
  • Maintains safe working procedures and good housekeeping practices, ensures that all safety precautions and

 procedures are followed

  • Follow rules as stated in the employee handbook, specifically as it relates to machine safeguarding

  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of automotive assembly equipment (Atlas Copco, Datalogic,

 Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Cognex, ifm, Balluff)

  • Knowledge of AC and DC motors and variable frequency drives (SEW, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Baldor)
  • Solid knowledge of pneumatic equipment
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of CNC machining centers- strong CNC machine repair & programming
  • Minimal supervision required to make machine modifications after initial assignment and explanation of

 work required

  • General welding skill
  • General PC skills (Windows operating systems, Excel)
  • Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing
  • Three (3) or more years industrial maintenance experience, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Able to work any shift
