Role Summary

This position reports directly to the Mold Tooling Team Leader and is responsible for the general and specific job duties of DexSys as described below:

General Job Duties:

· To exhibit teamwork skills and actively participate in team activities in a positive working environment.

· Adhere to all safety and health objectives, policies and procedures of DexSys to provide for a safe and healthful workplace. Always work in a safe manner and report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor. Report all accidents and near misses in a timely manner when they occur.

· Always maintain proper ergonomics when performing assigned tasks.

· To meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of DexSys.

· To perform daily cross-functional job assignments in all areas of your assigned department per the established procedures and work guidance.

· Participate and support all lean, continuous improvement programs, initiatives and activities.

· Meet or exceed daily production goals as directed by the Maintenance Technical Team Leader and the departmental objectives

· Clean all assigned work areas after completion of the required work, return all tools to proper storage area at the end of the shift and report any malfunctioning equipment to the Maintenance Technical Team Leader.

· Record and report all data required to maintain daily production records and submit the data to the Maintenance Technical Team Leader for input into the DexSys data collection system.

· Direct all non-conforming parts to the appropriate reprocess area.

· Maintain proper radio etiquette when using company radios, business use only.

· Must be able to work overtime as needed in accordance with Company Policy.

· Perform all assigned tasks per the work guidance sheets, TPMs and quality alerts.

· Participate in rotating schedule to update 5s board

· Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Technical Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities

Specific Job Duties:

· Execute modifications, engineering changes, and repairs of molds within specified time schedules.

· Maintain records of work performed as required using PMC System and work order procedure.

· Assist injection molding department by troubleshooting mold operations.

· Must demonstrate the ability to use required hand tools for the Mold Department and have all tools and equipment required to perform work prior to beginning at DexSys.

· Must demonstrate understanding of mold specifications and ensure they are correct in the tool.

· Must demonstrate the ability to read tool designs.

· Fabricate equipment as required.

· Proficiency in spotting, parting line repair and hand working skills preferred.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

Educational Requirements

· Must have High School Diploma or GED with minimum six years direct job-related experience or completion of Apprenticeship Program. Associate degree in a technical field of study preferred.

· Computer skills an asset.

Related Work Experience:

· Minimum two years production environment experience in injection molding or related field desired.

· CNC experience preferred.

· Welding experience preferred.

· Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Additional Information

Physical Requirements

· This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while standing or walking a minimum of eight (8) hours a day, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and the ability to perform work that is below the knees and above the shoulders on a frequent basis. This position also requires a person to have the ability to use vibrating hand tools for a minimum of four (4) hours a day, the capable of performing sustained motion for a minimum of eight (8) hours a day and capable of repetitive motion for up to five (5) hours. Good vision at a close distance is required.
