  • Maintain proper ergonomics at all times when performing assigned tasks.
  • To perform daily cross-functional job assignments in all areas of your assigned department per the established procedures and work guidance.
  • Participate and support all lean, continuous improvement programs, initiatives and activities.
  • Meet or exceed daily production goals as directed by the Production Team Leader and the departmental objectives
  • Clean all assigned work areas after completion of the required work, return all tools to proper storage area at the end of the shift and report any malfunctioning equipment to the Production Team Leader.
  • Direct all non-conforming parts to the appropriate reprocess area.
  • Maintain proper radio etiquette when using company radios, business use only.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed in accordance with Company Policy.
  • Participate in rotating schedule to up date 5s board
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the production Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate robotic equipment in accordance to the control plans established in order to satisfy the customer quality standards and delivery schedule.
  • Identify, communicate and document any difficulties relating to the product, process and/or quality system as per DexSys’ IATF-16949 directives.
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the product, process and/or quality system through designated channels.
  • Verify implementation and effectiveness of recommended solutions. Participate in control plan updates as per IATF-16949 protocol.
  • Develop, implement, verify and document paint parameter settings for all application equipment to maintain the specified quality standards detailed in the control plans of all products.
  • Complete all maintenance as directed in the total productive maintenance plan to ensure optimum performance of the robotic equipment.
  • Perform all daily maintenance on electrostatic spray guns and related equipment such as pumps and bells, to ensure optimum performance and paint utilization.
  • Verify and calibrate as directed in the total productive maintenance plan to ensure the accuracy and repeatability of the painting process.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in a related and technical field of study required. 
  • Six years work related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. 
  • Work experience combined with current schooling towards degree will be considered.
  • Must be computer literate on the Windows platform.
  • Previous automotive finishing and robotic experience required.
  • Mechanical and electrical experience with industrial control an asset.
  • Computer technology and programming an asset.

Additional Information

  • Must be able to perform work while standing or walking a mininum of eight(8) a day. 
  • Must have ability to lift up to 15 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 100lbs on an occasional basis. 
  • Must be able to perform work that is below the knees and above shoulders on occasional basis. 
  • Must be able to climbs stairs, as necessary. 
  • Must be able to wear a respirator when necessary.  
  • Must have good vision at  close distance is required.
