To support manufacturing operations by maintaining, trouble shooting and repairing all facilities and manufacturing equipment in a safe and orderly fashion as directed by the maintenance area/shift leader.

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"> 

  1. Troubleshoot and repair problems on plant facilities and production equipment of advanced nature in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic.
  2. <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Assists in the implementations and improvement of effective preventive maintenance programs for all equipment, performing scheduled maintenance on facilities and production equipment as required.
  3. <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Maintain and update equipment records, schematics, blueprints and files in orderly fashion.
  4. <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Obtain and attend training for professional development and to stay current on maintenance and safety requirements and other training as required.
  5. <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Complete all work in accordance with OSHA, NEC, JIC and DNR standards and regulations.
  6. <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Complete correspondence, forms and reports using personal computer and required software.
  7. <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Maintain department repair parts stock and inventory.
  8. <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Handle confidential information on a regular basis.
  9. <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">To work in a safe, quality minded and productive manner with a sense of urgency to achieve maintenance deadlines and to attain production priorities as scheduled.
  10. <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Attend daily pre-shift meetings and carry out assigned workloads as directed by shift/area leaders.
  11. <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Communicates with maintenance manager and maintenance area/shift leaders and other plant personnel about maintenance concerns, providing complete action plans and status reports as and when required.

  15. <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Works with all shifts in design and development of improving methods and equipment through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
  16. <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">May be required to adjust shifts as necessary.
  17. <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Has a responsibility to help develop all maintenance apprentices and give guidance where needed.

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Education and/or Experience:


  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">M<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">ust have high school diploma or GED
  • Associate’s Degree (A.A.) and Journeyperson status as a maintenance electrician or relevant experience of ten years or more


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to demonstrate the knowledge of programming/teaching robots
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to demonstrate programming/troubleshooting knowledge of PLCs
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Computer proficiency, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Must have good organizational skills.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Must exhibit high integrity and honesty.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, equipment instructions, requirements and business correspondences.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to effectively and appropriately present information and respond to questions from various groups.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Fabrication, mechanical and advanced electrical skills (National Electrical Code).
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to obtain and hold a fork truck license.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to obtain and hold a boom/scissor lift license.

  • Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment (up to 40 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Must be able to safely use manual tools and power equipment common in the construction trades.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Must be able to handle hazardous materials safely and tolerate exposure to electrical and other environmental hazards.

  • Must be able to work in various locations within and outside the manufacturing plant.

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Exposed regularly to elements such as temperature and noise.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Safety precautions to be observed in the maintenance and installation of electronic and mechanical equipment.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Must be comfortable with working at heights and within confined spaces.
