Role Summary

To effectively lead a team of Process Operators to maintain and improve safety, quality and delivery in line with operational targets.

Key Responsibilities

To ensure that departmental targets are reached or exceeded whilst complying with Magna Operational Principles, Health and Safety legislation, internal procedures and internal / external customer requirements

Lead the team to ensure all key production requirements are met in line with safety, quality, cost and delivery expectations within the IATF16949:2016 framework and Health and Safety regulations

Ensure a safe working environment and excellent housekeeping standards

Performing regular workplace inspections, conducting Safety talks and staff meetings as well as correcting unsafe acts or conditions

Understand and comply with Customer Specific Requirements for their area of work

Responsible for effective supervision, coaching and training of team members (including training matrix updates)

To liaise with other Group leaders to identify and control production issues

To accurately compile production data with the goal of achieving daily and weekly targets

Assist the Group Leader with KPI improvement for your shift

To be a hands on member of the team and have the ability to work and train team members on all operations within their remit

Key Qualifications/Requirements


Experience of working in a manufacturing or automotive environment

Leadership experience

Experience of successfully training, coaching and motivating a team

Good decision making and problem-solving skills

Participate in continuous improvement design and activity for the department

Able to communicate effectively across all levels of the business

PC Literate
