Paint Kitchen Technician

Role Summary

This role holds responsibility for controlling and maintaining all paint material stock and paint systems within the Paint Kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for controlling and maintaining all paint material stock and paint systems

Must have awareness and understanding of paint process and process measurables

Able to develop and maintain process material settings for paint process

Must have an understand technical and mechanical capabilities of paint process

Responsible for documenting all significant events regarding day to day running of the paint kitchen

Demonstrate logical thought process

Able to initiate and manage process measurables to achieve objectives of trend analysis

Able to work to specifications and standards making data-orientated decisions

To assist in the development and maintenance of control plans, IATF 16949 documentation and FMEA

Must adhere to all paint shop safety procedures and PPE requirements

Key Qualifications/Requirements

Experience of manufacturing processes

Must have awareness of paint process KPI

Proven problem-solving skills

Must be PC literate

Good communication and presentation skills, able contribute to team orientated activities

Proven ability for gathering, presenting and interpreting data.

Able to perform manual lifting of items up to 25kg

Ability to meet special training requirements required to handle volatile chemicals

Must be able to demonstrate good timekeeping and disciplinary record.
