Role Summary
Magna New Mobility is a startup inside Magna International, a mobility technology company and one of the largest automotive suppliers in the world. The New Mobility team is building a suite of new products and services to solve complex challenges associated with moving people and goods at scale. We are utilizing Magna’s technology building blocks and capabilities into new markets and use cases. So far we have advanced solutions in micromobility markets (eg Yulu, Yuma, Cartken, among others) and have other projects and target markets still in development around industrial material handling, commercial and autonomous vehicles.
MNM is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in an AWS Cloud environment. As the Sr. DevOps Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with an innovative Software Platform Team, taking on the critical role of maintaining and building our infrastructure and tools related to one of our most critical products. This position will be hybrid based in our Lowell office. #LI-hybrid
Key Responsibilities
As the Senior DevOps Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Develop tools and flows to automate and optimize software deployment and testing, across cloud and on-premise infrastructure, especially in AWS.
- Deploy and monitor applications in Production environment using Terraform, Kubernetes, monitoring and logging tools along with other technologies.
- Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to deliver scalable, resilient, and secure solutions and tools that meets business needs.
- Ensure software quality and reliability by following best practices and standards.
- Proactively perform other duties as necessary for completion of projects and achievement of departmental goals.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Equivalent Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related studies
- 7 years of experience in Cloud DevOps Engineering, ideally in an AWS environment
- Experience with CI/CD tools, such as Github, Jenkins, Gitlab.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages, such as Python.
- Experience with Terraform and configuration management and deployment automation tools, such as Terraform, Ansible
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Registry.
- Experience in production deployment: scaling, performance, monitoring, security and networking.
- Experience working with monitoring and logging tools, such as ELK, Prometheus, Grafana.
