Role Summary

The Team Member is responsible for producing product in accordance with Modatek’s policies and procedures, quality management system, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Daily line start up and shut down procedures ( enter and monitor recipe, check tank levels/rinse flows, clear faults, etc)
  • Monitor operational equipment ( tanks, cranes, conveyors, change filters pumps production rate impacts)
  • Clearing advanced faults (requiring movement of cranes, conveyors-manual rate impacts)
  • Complete scheduled or routine tasks (PM, clean Filter press, change filters, ETC) and tasks requested by E-coat Chemical Technician Engineer or designate 
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks (dump/clean tanks, cleaning of conveyor areas etc)
  • Paint tank ( Paint level, e-coat anodes, filters, temperature, Etc. )
  • Complete documentation as required by the department to meet audit specifications
  • E-coat Pre-treatment Lab Validation Report
  • E-coat System Checklist (Equipment readings, VIshual Checks, Etc.)

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Meet one of the following requirements:
    • Postsecondary education in chemistry or mechanical techniques, or
    • Minimum 3 years equivalent experience in a waste water, e-coat or maintenance environment, or
    • Successful completion of E-coat cross-training
  • Must be able and willing to learn new processes (titration & chemical processes, including waste treatment in an e-coat operation)
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends to meet customer needs
  • Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills
  • Basic Math and English, with proven ability to read and comprehend complex instructions
  • Must hold or obtain lift truck license
