Role Summary

Commodity Manager of Magna Asia Purchase Office, responsible for Magna Metal Commodity ( such as steel, stamping, die-casting, machining …… ) purchasing activities support in Asia.

Key Responsibilities

Commodity Strategy and Supplier Development 
Evaluate current suppliers to identify advantage / disadvantage.
Communicate with Magna Group & Division to understand needed and define clearly commodity strategy ( Prefer / Neutral / On Hold ).
Develop potential competitive suppliers to help Magna Group & Division save cost and enhance competitiveness.
RFQs Pricing/Terms Negotiation
Support Magna NA&EU Group & Division to quote with Asia suppliers.
Help Magna NA & EU Group & Division to negotiate a competitive price and reasonable payment term base on leverage whole Magna business.
Organize technical review meeting to ensure supplier fully understand Magna requirements and can meet it.
Coordinate with Magna Group & Division to make supplier selection decision by considering cost, quality, cooperate attitude ……
Supplier Management
After PO release, organize program kick-off between Magna division and suppliers to define key milestone and related requirement.
Extend support if have any commercial issues or need any help, such as shipment, cost reduction, VA/VE, payment ……
System Management
Take charge of GSA system as the key user of Magna Asia
Others
Communicate with Magna China divisions and extend support if have any needed.
Update related report and document in time
