Short Description

Precision Technologies , a division of Magna Powetrain, is hiring a Maintenance Millwright for our Mississauga location to ensure the continuous operation of all plant equipment and machinery.  If you have a valid Industrial Mechanic Millwright License (Red Seal preferred) and are a results-driven, hands-on individual, we invite you to join our team.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    Maintain all production and related equipment; modify existing equipment; and install new equipment/services as required.
2.    Troubleshoot and diagnose system faults, tune equipment, ensure adequate control and security measures are established and enforced.
3.    Accurately complete required reports daily or as required.
4.    Maintain a safe and clean work place environment.
5.    Assist in the maintaining of inventory levels in all maintenance stock cabinets. Process needed requisitions for purchasing as required
6.    Perform all PM’s as distributed
7.    Be available for weekend work/overtime as required
8.    Perform all work in good standard and respond to off duty calls and work rotating shifts if required.
9.    Follow all work cell and/or department standardized work instructions/procedures 
10.    Protect the company’s interest in respect to abuse or wilful damage of tools and equipment
11.    Ensure, with the cooperation of other departments and Corporate that the division achieves and maintains the highest possible Customer rating for satisfaction; strive for zero defects in all areas of the business.
12.    Ensure enforcement of Customer Specific Requirements and Quality Management System (IATF16949) without compromising either Precision Technologies or its Customers.
13.    Initiate and/or participate in continuous improvement activities.
14.    Attend authorized training in order to develop and/or maintain relevant job-related knowledge, techniques, skills, and/or certification.
15.    May be required to carry out job duties and responsibilities in a work environment that may include, but is not limited to, varying levels of noise and/or temperature.
16.    Perform any other reasonable duty as required or assigned by Management
 

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

•    Must have a valid Industrial Mechanic Millwright- Red Seal License
•    Minimum 5 years experience required
•    Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent
 

CORE COMPETENECIES & SKILLS:

•    Firm understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics schematics
•    Experience on CNC machines preferred
•    Good knowledge of machine shop practices and welding experience.
•    Worked in an automotive / extrusion environment
•    Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and analytical abilities 
•    Able to work well independently and within a group
•    Proven experience in the maintenance of Facilities equipment and Plant equipment
•    Hydraulics and Pneumatics experience preferred
•    Able to use all hand tools, machine cutting tools including lathe and milling machines, welding experience required
•    Able to use measuring tools, including vernier, calliper, micrometer, etc.
