Role Summary

Participate in in the manufacture and assembly of automotive seating components for Magna Seating customers according to company standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts in specified relationship to each other following the written and visual instructions or otherwise fasten parts together.
  • Tend to machines by performing force fitting or fastening operations and end of line testers.
  • Rotate to different workstations as production needs require. May include using various fixtures to attach parts such as springs, electrical connectors, heater pads, gaskets, grommets, and actuators.
  • Perform all daily start up checks at your station and notify your Supervisor if check does not work as intended.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork on time and accurately such as traceability reports, scrap sheets, daily production reports, 5S checklists, and start-up checklists.
  • Follow COVID-19 Prevention Protocols, including wearing a mask and proper PPE while onsite, and social distancing and sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place.
  • Maintain 5S and housekeeping practices.
  • Understand your responsibility to the environmental programs, including ISO14001.
  • Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement activities, even those not listed in this description.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Assembly Experience (minimum of 6 months) in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to read, understand and use technical drawings and measuring devices is preferred.
  • Ability to understand and apply Lean Manufacturing/JIT concepts is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Stable work history and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination/Detail oriented.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check.
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
  • Work Schedule: A Shift (Monday – Friday 7am – 5:30pm; overtime required) or B Shift (Sunday- Thursday 7pm-5:30am; overtime required).
