Role Summary

Responsible for the development and implementation of employee competency training programs; assisting as a liaison between managers, supervisors and employees.
Responsible for employee testing program.
Responsible for assisting in development, coordination, implementation and documentation of employee training program.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

Required:  BA/BS degree in a Human Resources/Training Field

 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing setting, preferred
Previous training experience or six month related experience, or equivalent combination of developing and presenting training programs.
Ability to interpret technical data, processes, operating instructions and procedures.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to develop and proof training materials
Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees
Strong problem solving and computer skills
Good interpersonal  and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

Confers with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies
Develops internal training programs and determines appropriate instructional methods, teaching aids, and media for effective transfer of knowledge and skills
Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as standardized work practices, technical competencies, and interpersonal skills
Assists in developing training initiatives
Collaborates with all departments for technical training programs and proficiency testing
Tests employees to measure progress, evaluate effectiveness, and basic skills
Reports on progress of employees under guidance during training periods
Provides guidance and resources for plant wide training programs
Upholds and promotes Nascote’s 14 Lean Principles through daily activities.
Assists Training Coordinator with sourcing and coordinating outside training resources
Coordinates Human Resource projects as assigned
Maintains strict confidentiality in all employee related matters and information
Maintains an acceptable attendance record
Maintains a clean and safe work area
Participates in department meetings
Completes documentation of activities as required
Submits cost reductions and innovation ideas
Performs other tasks as assigned
