Position Summary

The Production Supervisor ensures all requirements associated with the successful fabrication of product are met. This is facilitated through Team Leaders and Production Associates. Oversees production operations, and supports Management, Team Leaders, and Production Associates by acting as a liaison in matters regarding policy application, employee relations, safety, and continuous improvement for processes and productivity. This position carries direct and/or indirect supervisory responsibility.  This is a 2nd shift position (2 pm to 10 pm) and 3rd shift position (10 pm to 6 am).

Duties & Responsibilities

Plans and directs the utilization of all equipment and manpower to achieve effective results; Monitors and adjusts inventory balances as required, investigates and solves inventory issues; Coordinates preventative maintenance with Maintenance and Production Planning; Coordinates the movement of quarantine material/parts/scrap upon disposition by Quality team; Assists with changeovers on assembly cells and related equipment; works with all departments (engineering, quality, materials, maintenance, HR and support groups in order to achieve established targets; accountable for meeting KPI's and Continuous Improvement objectives.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2-year College degree in Production/Operations Management or related field or certification in Manufacturing, Production or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' manufacturing/operations experience with 2 years' minimum in a leadership role.
  • Experience in Lean Implementation (standardized work), 5S, Value Stream Mapping, A3 problem solving.
  • Familiar with welded metal assemblies.
  • Fanuc Robot experience a plus.

  • May be exposed to elements such as temperature and noise during time spent in the plant or at customer or supplier facilities
