About the Role

The Senior Accountant supports the division’s Accounting/Finance department and is responsible for ensuring and maintaining the integrity of the division’s general ledger and financial statements.  The position will provide analysis for business performance and identify areas of improvement. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end close including preparing and posting journal entries.
  • Assist with preparation of financial reports and provide analytical support as needed.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations with adequate support for key accounts and the monthly binder.
  • Record cash receipts.  Follow up on outstanding issues.
  • Process all steel resale charges and prepare pass through charges to suppliers.  Follow up on outstanding issues.
  • Process monthly offal charges and prepare debit memos to suppliers.  Follow up on outstanding issues.
  • Maintain chart of accounts including OneStream mapping from CMS.
  • Prepare weekly reports to the management team.

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 5 years finance experience in a manufacturing operations setting.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with Epicor/CMS and OneStream or Hyperion preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
