• Adhere to all safety and health objectives, policies and procedures of Norplas to provide for a safe and healthful workplace. Work in a safe manner at all times and report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor in order that the situation can be corrected. Report all accidents and near misses in a timely manner when they occur.
• Maintain proper ergonomics at all times when performing assigned tasks.
• To meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of Norplas.
• To perform daily cross-functional job assignments in all areas of your assigned department per the established procedures and work guidance.
• Participate and support all lean, continuous improvement programs, initiatives and activities.
• Meet or exceed daily maintenance goals as directed by the Maintenance Team Leader and the departmental objectives.
• Clean all assigned work areas after completion of the required work, return all tools to proper storage area at the end of the shift and report any malfunctioning equipment to the Maintenance Team Leader.
• Maintain proper radio etiquette when using company radios, business use only.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed in accordance with Company Policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Team Leader.
• Maintain records of work performed as required using PMC System and work order procedure.
• Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot, repair or replace all components of Norplas equipment. This includes, but is not limited to all electrical equipment, hydraulics, mechanical, piping, pumps, and pneumatics in the Mold Department.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform preventative and predictive maintenance on all equipment in the Mold Department repairing and replacing parts as necessary.
• Must demonstrate the ability to use required hand tools for the Mold Department and have all tools and equipment required to perform work prior to beginning at Norplas.
• Must demonstrate the ability to read parts breakdown and machine schematics.
• Fabricate equipment as required.
• Must supply tool list as identified (see attached).
• May generate special or hazardous wastes in the course of their duties and must follow all work instructions that explain the handling of special and hazardous wastes.
• Associate’s Degree required. Six years work related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Work experience combined with current schooling towards degree will be considered.
• Journeyman’s card preferred.
• Working knowledge of PLC programming and robotic experience preferred.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while
standing or walking a minimum of eight (8) hours a day, the ability to lift up to 20 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis, and the ability to perform work that is below the knees and above the
shoulders on an occasional basis. Ability to climb stairs is necessary. Ability to wear a respirator is necessary. Good vision at a close distance is required.
