About the Role

  • To exhibit teamwork skills and actively participate in team activities in a positive working environment.
  • Follow Company policies and display conduct expected of Norplas employees as described in the employee handbook consistent with the Magna Employee Charter
  • Adhere to all safety and health objectives, policies and procedures of Norplas to provide for a safe and healthful workplace.  Work in a safe manner at all times and report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor in order that the situation can be corrected.  
  • Meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of Norplas.
  • Perform daily cross-functional job assignments in all areas of your assigned department per the established procedures and work guidance.
  • Meet or exceed daily production goals as directed by the Production Team Leader and the departmental objectives.

Your Responsibilities

  • Inspect parts unloaded from injection molding machine and remove flash with trim/debur knife/and or flaming torch as needed.
  • Check parts for molding defects and communicate identified defects to Team Leader or Control Plan Administrator for corrective action.
  • Apply label to part or check laser label, place in protective bag if required, and place into rack or tote.
  • Apply identification label to rack before moving to WIP.
  • Sort and determine appropriate destination for saleable, reclamation, ACI, reclaim mold defects and bad scrap.
  • Must have basic computer skills and be able to operate a scanner.

Who we are looking for

•    Ability to read, write and speak English effectively along with basic mathematical skills required.

•    Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed in accordance with Company Policy.

Your preferred qualifications

•    Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
