Role Summary

The Operations Manager in Magna supports the General Manager with leading the shop's operations and ensuring it meets or exceeds corporate goals for customer service, gross profit and operational efficiency.

This position requires a high level of technical expertise in automotive production and experience managing customer relationships. The Operations Manager possesses the ability to lead, support all departments/customers, and assist in file closing, payroll, time clocks, interview process and teammate coaching.

Key Responsibilities

  • meet or exceed location revenue goals and other KPIs
  • cooperation with General Manager on execution of actual strategy and creation of the future strategy, plan and policies
  • managing, leading and delegation of tasks of respective area of company
  • cooperation on managing financial resources of company
  • tracking and review of operational results of company against targets set
  • maintaining effective system of communication with all division employees
  • back-up of General Manager during his absence
  • reporting on group level

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • knowledge of World Class Manufacturing concepts and modern manufacturing and quality processes
  • 5 + leading experience (operational level) in production site in automotive (TIER1)
  • experience with assembly and injection moulding department
  • experience with paintshop is an advantage
  • ability to lead management team both in operational and strategic area
  • aptitude in decision-making and problem solving
  • ability to bear responbility for consequences
  • ability to manage the conflict and to convince the audience
  • knowledge of financial tools in corporation
  • knowledge of analysis and problem solving tools
  • proficient English user /C1
