Role Summary

The Team  Lead – System Test Tools is responsible for leading and leading a team of engineers who are responsible for developing Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), Software-in-the-loop (SIL), and other test infrastructure that are required for the development of ADAS systems

Key Responsibilities

•    Takes direction from Engineering Manager – System Integration & Verification
•    Design, Develop, Commission, and Deploy world-class HILs and associated infrastructure using technologies such as but not limited to Matlab, Simulink, dSPACE, NI Verstand, ETAS Labcar, IPG Carmaker, etc. to test both ECU-Level and System-Level software requirements.
•    Design and Develop Controls Test System software (i.e. Plant Models, Loss Models, Closed Loop Control Algorithms, etc.) and HW components as required to safely test ECUs and systems in the Hardware-in-the-loop environment.
•    Develop test automation scripts and libraries using industry-standard test automation tools.
•    Perform Data Analysis on the test execution output files to generate plots, charts, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, etc
•    Develop Testing Infrastructure to auto-test ECU functional requirements within a real-world Vehicle Level environment.
•    Support the selection and design of new test equipment such as HILs, RCP systems, and custom Test Properties.
•    Develop and provide test infrastructure user instruction manual and training, as required, to the crossfunctional team  
•    Lead  the planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting of all bench testing/automation related activities for various projects
•    Responsibilities include, interviewing, hiring, training, reward and disciplinary actions, and performance appraisals of employees.
•    Will be responsible for ensuring that the team members adhere to GPEP/ME-PDP deliverables
•    Ensures compliance to Company procedures (e.g. Process - Work Instructions) and applicable standards (e.g. ISO/TS 16949, ISO/IEC TR 15504).
•    Resource planning and alignment to ensure that all projects in the department are properly staffed with the right quality and quantity of resources to meet the deliverables in an effective and efficient way is a key objective of this position
•    Work with managers and senior managers to identify and resolve issues quickly within the team project organization. 
•    Manage technical escalation paths appropriately. 
•    Escalate were necessary for communication of issues, requests for assistance, and unexpected situations
 

Key Qualifications/Requirements

•    ISTQB Certified – Fundamental and Test Manager certification is not mandatory but preferred
•    Working knowledge of DMM, Oscilloscope, Video Scope, etc.
•    Hybrid, Hydraulic, ECU, or ADAS product/test experience desired 
•    Experience with automotive requirements and design preferred
•    Working knowledge of product development and product testing engineering practices in the automotive field
•    Working knowledge of ISO/IEC standards
•    Working knowledge of HIL procedures and equipment
 

Additional Information

•    Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in engineering or demonstrated equivalent skills. 
•    A Master’s degree is highly preferred.
•    8-12 years experience regarding Responsibility / Main Activities (listed above) in serial development or comparable experience in automotive (mandatory), ADAS (mandatory); electronic (preferable) industry
