MISSION: To manage and direct the effective provision of information systems and technology for all departments across the whole Group ensuring efficiency, security, technologic evolution and competitive costs.

 

ACTIVITIES:

  • The development, continuous improvement and maintenance of all information and communication systems & infrastructure.
  • Mentorship of ICT employees and progress tracking of skill development.
  •  
  • Ensure complete transparency in reporting requirements of the Regional Group and Divisions.
  • Manage the business relationship at the regional and Global IT Functions, assessing innovative ideas potential of merging technologies.
  • Create and monitor ICT risk mitigation plan and develop appropriate responses.
  • As a cybersecurity leader, responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities required both internally and externally to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Lead resources across all functions to execute the Magna security strategy in order to improve cybersecurity posture and keep up with the evolving needs of the business
  • Participate in the creation of a security program for the division as well as in solution selection and process development as required in order to enforce consistency and adherence to global security standards and guidelines
  • Enforcing the use of best practice amongst Group business units both regionally and internationally.
  • Ensures that the systems are managed and maintained in accordance with company policies and local or international laws.
  • Measure and reporting on the division’s compliance with cybersecurity policies and standards while also understanding the risk implications of approved exceptions.
  • Measure and reporting on the effectiveness of cybersecurity controls to ensure alignment with the cyber strategy and strategic cyber goals by focusing on operational performance and quality outcomes.
  • Ensure divisions follow Magna business continuity policy.
  • Activities in accordance and control of agreed budgets and cost targets.
  • Review and approval of Regional Group and Divisions capital expenditures.
  • Review and approval of Regional Group IT expenses.
  • Link between users at all levels (particularly corporate “Business Process Owner” and Departmental “Super Users”) and the systems technology that they utilize and rely on to undertake their work.
  • To work closely with the Senior Management Team, ensure data integrity/accuracy, data protection, and information accessibility.
  • Lead in the development, evaluation, and implementation of system wide technology projects in conjunction with user requirements.
  • Reviews internal/external processes with the view of optimizing the use of technology within Magna Lighting.
  • Evaluate, prioritize and authorize changes, managing directly any emergency changes.
  • Provides professional/technical insight within the scope of Information Technology in the strategic planning and management of business.
  • Responsible for management of the IT team involving recruitment, development, performance management and workload balancing.
  • Develops and maintains policies and procedures related to Information Technology.
  • Stays ahead of changing technologies to ensure that Information Technology options available to the company are world class and fully utilized.
  • Manage and provide technical support and assistance within all sites in Lighting Europe
  • Advise senior management on computer network systems and equipment needs
  • Work effectively with outside vendors/consultants as needed
  • Recommend adequate and appropriate staffing for the ICT department at each division
  • Approve the hiring of all divisional ICT managers
  • Assist divisions with the performance evaluation of all ICT managers
  • Assist with other projects as assigned and manage changes to requirements
