Role Summary
The Finance Manager is a key champion of change and financial leadership. This role is responsible for assisting with control of the financial activities of Techform and to supply management with accurate and timely data regarding the financial performance of the division in order to strategize a sustainable positive impact. The Finance Manager is responsible for leading, coaching and managing the team within the general accounting department.
Key Responsibilities
• Cash flow Management
• Oversee the implementation of divisional accounting
• Manage the long-term forecast process.
• Work with Department Managers on budget preparation and build budget models
• Quality verification of monthly financial statements
• Execute internal audit governance; Prepare and help to manage external audit
• Identify information system inadequacies and identify solutions
• Initiate, where required, employee mentoring, coaching, development counseling and training plans
• Other duties as assigned
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- A post-secondary degree in an accounting or business-related discipline
- Completion of, or working towards, a CPA or similar designation
- 2+ years in an accounting/finance or commercial management position
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Teams), Accounting Software, PowerBI and Power Query, considered an asset
