Role Summary

The day to day activities for an Electrical Hardware Intern would include supporting the design, development, assembly, and testing of electronics used in LED Lighting. An Electrical Hardware Intern will be exposed to different LED technologies, CAE tools, test and measurement equipment, and prototyping assembly. Students will integrate with the Team and work directly with the Engineering staff to perform daily assignments that support product development.

  • CAD Tools (Mathcad, Altium)
  • PDP process steps
  • Shipping and receiving procedures
  • Laboratory organization
  • Various computer tools – Microsoft suite (Excel, power point, project, etc.), Altium, Spice and Mathcad
  • Material and Equipment procurement
  • Assignments given by engineering staff

 

Additional Information

Students will be required to develop and present a summary of their experience and what was learned during the assignment. Presentations are given to Sr. Management, Supervisors, and Human Resources.
