Role Summary
Magna Lighting is looking for a Material Analyst to join our operations team in Plymouth Michigan.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage direct material suppliers to ensure no interruptions to production, while maintaining high inventory turns.
- Analyze and establish all material requirements for all forecasts and maintain track of all material orders and assist to generate all reports.
- Perform regular cycle counts and root cause of discrepancies.
- Manage ECR process relating to purchasing part revisions and end of life.
- Physical Inventory - preparation, counting/auditing counts, variance analysis
- Actively participate in procedure development.
- Manage all business processes and forecast all customer material requirements.
- Provide continuous improvement actions related to supply chain processes.
- Provide optimal coverage according to guidelines and assist all customers for all computer systems.
- Assist all customers for all order status and provide support to all common hardware stocking and monitor all inventory levels.
- Other duties as assigned by the Materials Manager
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Managing supply base
- 2-3 years of experience in the automotive/ manufacturing sector
- Strong understanding of materials management fundamentals required
- Ability to deliver accurate, quick and concise communications through written and verbal interactions, both internally and externally
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft based computer programs (Excel) is required
- 1 year experience in inventory/production control, purchasing or scheduling in the automotive sector Must be able to work flexible hours and be willing to work overtime, as required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Self-motivated, ability to initiate and follow tasks through to completion
