Role Summary
Coordinates department activities to meet divisional objectives. Communicates work and expected results of tasks in order to meet department goals. Verifies tasks are complete and ensures team members adhere to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and manage freight charges to mitigate costs
• Responsible for managing Absolute Inventory Value
• Managing day to day key supply chain tasks of Inventory Coordinator, Bill of Material (BOM) Coordinator and Material Planners/Master Schedulers
• Coordinating with Program Management and Purchasing ECR process
• Report out on Freight monthly costs, Monthly freight accrual for Finance
• Contributing to Techform’s MAFACT goals from a Materials/Supply Chain aspect
• Providing coaching, development and discipline when required to direct reports
• Perform annual performance appraisals for direct reports
• Contribute to the continuous improvement initiatives to meet the Company’s business goals
• Other duties as assigned
Health and Safety Responsibilities
• Follow the duties and responsibilities specified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act Sections 28 .
• Ensure all safety and non-safety rules and regulations are followed.
• Ensure adherence to established safety, quality and housekeeping standards.
• Attends Environmental Health and Safety training
• Adhere to Magna Closures and Dortec health and safety, environmental, and quality standards, policies and procedures
• Report any known hazard, defect, incident or compliance issue to the employer or supervisor
• Understand BILL 168 and uphold the policies that prohibit domestic violence, workplace violence and harassment in the Workplace.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
• CPIM Designation preferred
• Logistics experience in a fast-paced environment an asset
• Minimum 2 years manufacturing/automotive in a Supply Chain function an asset
• Knowledge of USMCA (NAFTA) requirements is required
• Extensive ERP systems knowledge an asset (Eg. CMS, SAP, etc.)
• Experience with Microsoft Office an asset (Excel, word, powerpoint, PowerBI, Teams)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
