About the Role

The Controls Engineer will provide support and expertise on all new programs pertaining to new press and assembly equipment. The Controls Engineer will complete controls ad log architecture to the Drive Standards, ensuring a robust commissioning and ramp period. The Controls Engineer will also support the Engineering department in Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Your Responsibilities

    • Support Manufacturing Engineering in the development of standards and specifications, including a complete purchase parts list related to controls systems.
    • Plan and implement improvements related to the specific controls systems.
    • Support I4.0 transformation.
    • Can perform duties of a Maintenance Technician.
    • Work with area maintenance planner to prioritize task to be done during non-production hours.
    • Troubleshooting for robots, PLC's, electrical circuits, pneumatics, hydraulics

Who we are looking for

The Controls Engineer should be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision and comfortable in a manufacturing environment. Preferred experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC's, as well as Kuka, Fanuc, and ABB robots.

Your preferred qualifications

Education

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year experience and/or training; or Technical Apprenticeship with Certification or Journeyman Card; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of automated manufacturing technical experience required.

Pay range: $80,000 - $95,000 annual salary
