About the Role

Magna Autosystems America is looking for a second shift Millwright to join the team at its Plymouth, MI location. Starting pay is $32.54 (uncertified).

Your Responsibilities

• Maintain stringent preventive maintenance schedules on all production and environmental control equipment.
• Troubleshooting / repairing of all production and facilities equipment breakdowns.
• Installation and maintenance of all mechanical equipment.
• Fabrication for machinery and equipment.
• Strong understanding of Safety LOTOTO procedures
• Complete repairs and maintenance on molds as assigned.
• Complete repairs and maintenance on EOAT's as assigned.
• Inform Team Leader of requirements to maintain components for stores and repairs.
• Ensure the Mold Maintenance area is clean and safe at all times.
• Follow all work instructions and procedures in accordance with TS16949.  Ensure all paperwork and log books are completed as required.
• Help develop and maintain our Mold Build Standards, and EOAT Standards.
• Actively pursue opportunities to reduce cost and improve cycle times and support other teams with cost reduction implementations.

Who we are looking for

A self motivated millwright to work second shift that enjoys to work with their hands and improve processes.

Your preferred qualifications

•               Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings, codes & mechanical safety, basic electrical/electronic components, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical equipment, and welding.
•              Strong practical use of math and physics.
•              Must have at least 5 years’ experience in an Automotive Manufacturing environment, preferably in Molding.
•              Thorough understanding of rigging, welding, electrical theory and mechanics.
•              Self-motivated, ability to follow-up on tasks through to completion.
•              Proven track record for performance and attendance in existing position.
•              Proven ability to work in a Team environment along with other members of the maintenance team.
•              Strong Team attitude required.
•              Exceptional troubleshooting skills, together with high degree of mechanical expertise and computer knowledge.
•              Millwright certification a plus.
