General Responsibilities
- Perform photometric testing for validation, verification, benchmarking and production lamps
- Review and execute applicable customer and governmental requirements for validation, verification, and production testing
- Prepare documentation for review by the customer and various groups within our organization
- Run matrices, ISO candela plots, bench marking requirements for existing and competitors lamps
- Perform aim / optical measurements to support engineering and manufacturing initiatives.
- Review and analysis of photometric data, gauge R&R and capability studies
- Analyze, troubleshoot and root cause test failures, and pre to post deviations
- Coordinate testing requirements with Operations, Resident Engineering, and Product Engineering teams
- Other duties as assigned
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and prioritizing abilities
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Self-motivated, ability to initiate and follow tasks through to completion
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel; Strong knowledge of Excel formulas considered an asset
- Ability to learn new software applications
- Ability to work as a team to gather and analyze information
- Able to work flexible work hours and varied start/end times
- Demonstrated ability to open and understand specifications as defined by customer DVP&R
- Write scripts or select pre-written scripts to perform measurements at required locations defined by the test specification
- Ability to mount product to be tested on appropriate fixture, make electrical connections and perform test
- Review and document test results for inclusion into test report.

- Work in compliance with and support company policies, procedures, work instructions and programs relating to health/safety and environment
- Provide support and resources in a timely manner to address health and safety or environmental concerns or hazards that require corrective action
- Clearly communicate goals to direct reports for health/safety and environmental protection
- Ensure adherence to facility’s 5S program.
- Review accident/incident investigation reports to ensure that corrective actions have been completed
- Conduct regular audits of work area(s) to ensure no safety hazards or environmental issues exist
- Administer appropriate corrective action for substandard health and safety or environmental performance
Physical Demands: Ability to sit/stand/bend/twist/reach/push/pull as required. Ability to work at a computer/workstation. Ability to lift different objects (boxes, totes, fixtures) weighing up to 50lbs.
