Role Summary

The Platform Administrator provides PLM level support to the Magna Lighting user base and staff. The Administrator will maintain and improve PLM functionality, root cause open issues, support end users, proactively avoid shutdowns, and resolve all system technical issues with the assistance of Lighting IT/vendor support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 3DExperience technical support across the PLM lifecycle.
  • Enforce and/or improve Magna's 3DExperience and related Catia, NX and Enovia best practices.
  • Maintain engineering change, CAD process control, and visibility throughout the CAD product lifecycle.
  • Provide end user training, troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Generate and maintain configuration and training management records for Enovia and 3DExperience systems installations.
  • Review and resolve open issues with PLM vendors.
  • Perform analysis of software changes from bug fixes (regression analysis).
  • Train users on onboarding new employees, maintenance of low use users, and others, as needed.
  • Resolve tickets via Matrix 42 (in-house ticket system).
  • Add, remove, correct, and rationalize programs and user lists as needed.
  • Correct and update ECR templates and perform non-CAD and CAD debug testing after updates.
  • Analyze and optimize system to increase speed when software slowdowns occur.
  • Serve as CAD Data Management Application expert, which includes triaging end user issues, reporting issues to Dassault Services if there is a Magna configuration issue, or a Dassault OOTB Software issue. Will also validate various NX levels, Catia V5 levels, and 3DExperience levels.
  • Manage OEM environment data inside 3DExperience, Magna specific 3D and drawing templates.
  • Manage CAD quality verification and release for OEMs
  • Change processes, including CR/CO process, issue management reporting, CAD & Non-CAD change tracking, and change impact assessment and documentation.
  • Track project tasks including change task tracking and dependency assessment, change impact schedule, and project task escalation and reporting.
  • Manage documentation. 
  • Provide end user training and one-on-one support.
  • All other duties, as assigned.


Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • University degree in computer science, systems engineering or similar technical field.
  • At least five years of experience of CAD (3DX/Enovia application, is preferred).
  • Experience in Java and/or C++, required.
  • MQL experience, preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office; general experience with CAD software such as Catia V5 or NX.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Innovative.
  • Effective troubleshooting skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of designing plastic injection molded parts and lamp assembly processes such as vibration welding, coating and multi-shot molding.
