Key Responsibilities

  •     Responsible for production, quality, scrap, housekeeping and safety at their work stationElevate any quality or production concerns
  •    Review and sign all communications at beginning of shift (i.e. What’s New Board, Quality Alerts, etc.)
  •     Adhere to Autosystems Quality Management System
  •     Ensure work instructions are present, signed off, up-to-date, and followed at all times.
  •     Complete Operator Start-up Checklist. If acceptable, post green OK To Run sign at work station.
  •     Ensure all product meets current quality standards 
  •     If non-conforming product is being produced beyond targeted scrap rates, notify appropriate personnel immediately.  If appropriate personnel are not available, the operator should take steps to shut down the equipment in a controlled manner.
  •     Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
  •     Adhere to TS16949 Operating Procedures
  •     Complete production, scrap, and downtime sheets as required
  •     Ensure housekeeping and safety standards are maintained
  •     Make suggestions for Continuous Improvement
  •     Implement and drive Autosystems TPS system
  •     Any reasonable request by management

Health/Safety & Environmental Responsibilities

•    Properly wear and take care of all required personal protective equipment (PPE) for their respective job
•    Follow all required health/safety and environmental rules for your respective job or general facility rules
•    Report any unsafe conditions immediately to your supervisor
•    Report injuries, accident, incidents, near misses or property/equipment damage to your supervisor immediately
•    Will not remove or make ineffective any protective device on any piece of equipment that they are or another associate is operating
•    Will not operate any machine or piece of equipment or process that they have not been trained in
•    Will not operate any machine or piece of equipment in a manner that may endanger themselves or other associates
•    Report any spills or compressed air leaks to my supervisor immediately.
•    Make sure waste material or workplace containers are properly closed, sealed and labeled

Physical Demands

•    Ability to lift min. 50lbs as required by job element
